Day 01
Studiomates and I went to the Lion City last April for our study trip. Oh why Singapore? Why not Korea, Indonesia or somewhere else? Because, we're actually running-out of budget and not have much time to spent for a trip (haha, kantoi -_-). Final year is so hectic, ooh yeah !
We're backpacked here and Montel acted as our navigator because he already came here last time. We're lost when trying to find the hostel and asked some people on the streets. Luckily, we reached it ! ^_^
Stayed at Fernloft Hostel, Little India for 4 days. We we're mixed up with some travelers from other parts of the world since we were staying in a hostel. We're on a budget trip! It's only SGD 40 for a night ! Self-service breakfast and internet provided.
It was my first time in Singapore. It is a clean country, the citizens are full of discipline and the weather is a bit hotter than Kuala Lumpur (you really need a sunblock with high SPF if you want to come here). Maybe it is surrounded by seas...the sea breeze effect, or whatever.LOL!
The architecture reminds me of Penang and Malacca. The shoplots mostly from 1800s-1940s. The old buildings still remained along the streets. You can see the decorative mosaics like in the Art Nouveau era on the columns, craving and motifs here and there.

P/S: It's like you are in the P. Ramlee's era, singing Bujang Lapuk's song on the streets. Reminiscence of old times.
